Learning Objectives
1. Understand Your Role and Its Impact (Significance)
Objective:
Participants will identify their unique leadership responsibilities and understand how their
actions influence team performance, motivation, and overall outcomes.

Clarity of role builds confidence and ownership early in the leadership journey.
2. Build Strong Team Relationships through Communication (Outreach)
Objective:
Participants will learn and apply foundational skills in communication, connection, and

3. Align Work to Results and Expectations (Alignment)
Objective:
Participants will use the QPS Triad (Quality, Productivity, Service/Patient Care) to align
team goals with organizational outcomes and improve performance by managing up and
measuring results.

New leaders must balance daily execution with strategic visibility—this framework helps
them do both.
4. Navigate Change and Foster Growth (Resilience)
Objective:
Participants will develop the mindset and tools to lead through change, give e ective
feedback, and support team development—even during uncertainty.
Why it matters:
Resilience is critical for long-term success. Managers must model adaptability and growth
for their teams.

This workshop is designed to meet the continuing education requirements for the MN Board of Nursing and SHRM (if requested). It is the responsibility of the attendee to determine whether these activities meet the current criteria for continuing education.

Non-Medi-Sota Members: $899/ Person
Cancellations must be made no later than 30 business days prior to the course. The full course fee will be charged if cancellation is made in less than 30 business days. Full refunds will be given for all classes cancelled by Medi-Sota. Registration is transferable to another person.
