Medi-Sota Golf Event & Planning
Retreat - pg 1
The 2006 Medi-Sota Golf Outing took
place on May 24th at the popular
Thumper Pond Golf Course, with the
annual Lobster and Steak Fry to
follow at the Gerlach Residence near
Dent, MN. This event was well
attended, and provided an excellent
opportunity for sponsors to network
with Medi-Sota administrators and
staff. The two-day planning retreat
that followed, opened with Paul
Muraca providing a legislative
update from the American Hospital
Association. Paul did an excellent
job of highlighting priority
healthcare issues being addressed on
both the local and national level.
Following the AHA presentation,
Rhonda Loberg led the group in a
brainstorming and discussion session
for members to identify new projects
or common goals for members to
embark on in the coming months. Many
of the objectives identified in the
newly drafted Strategic Plan for
2006-2007 were an extension or
expansion of last year’s goals.
Members want to continue moving
forward with the expansion of
teleconferencing opportunities and
the enhancement of our current
education program offerings. Another
priority will include activities
required to achieve and maintain
compliance with the state and
federal regulatory agencies to
ensure a healthier and safer
environment for our patients, staff
and communities. Medi-Sota members
look forward to another year of
collaboration to attain the goals
and objectives identified during
this year’s session. (Members can

Recruitment News - pg 3
Staff Recruitment Update…………...
Greetings from the Staff Recruitment program!
Effective July 1st, I returned to full time status after having my
2nd child on April 5th, a baby girl, Morgan JUST prior to having
her, I helped 4 different facilities within Medi-Sota find a
Sonographer, Occupational Therapist, Radiology Technician and
Surgical Technician. Since that time I have placed a Laboratory
Technician and one Nursing Administrator. The recruiting needs have
not slowed down, nor have I!
The shortages continue to be all across the board as usual.
Experienced RN’s, MLT’s, PT’s and Rad Tec are in the highest demand
currently. We will continue to budget for recruitment advertising in
all of those areas and consistently promote our region.
Please continue to send me notes by email or pick up the phone and
call me with your recruiting needs. Have a happy and bountiful Fall!
