There will be a short review of assisting birth in the pre-hospital environment. The speaker will focus on term versus pre-term neonatal treatment considerations, respiratory and cardiac resuscitation, temperature  management, and hypoglycemia.

Key Learning Objectives:

• Airway management of the preterm/term newborn out of hospital environment.
• Temperature management of the preterm/term newborn out of hospital environment.
• Cardiac arrest/resuscitation of the preterm/term newborn with limited resources in the out of hospital environment.

Who Should Attend: EMT’s, Paramedics, First Responders, RN’s, and Medical Providers.

This workshop is designed to meet the continuing education requirements for the MN Board of Nursing.  It is the responsibility of the attendee to determine whether these activities meet the current criteria for continuing education.
