There will be a short review of assisting birth in the pre-hospital environment. The speaker will focus on term versus pre-term neonatal treatment considerations, respiratory and cardiac resuscitation, temperature management, and hypoglycemia.
Key Learning Objectives:
- Airway management of the preterm/term newborn out of hospital environment.
- Temperature management of the preterm/term newborn out of hospital environment.
- Cardiac arrest/resuscitation of the preterm/term newborn with limited resources in the out of hospital environment.
