Description

The presentation will focus on regulatory requirements and continuous survey readiness for Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs).

The requirements in the conditions of participation (CoPs), Appendix W, and Minnesota state regulations will be reviewed, including regulatory standards for both clinical and non-clinical departments.

Practical strategies for engaging the organization in continuous survey readiness will also be presented.

Key Learning Objectives: 

  1. Identify CMS and state regulatory requirements and where to find them.
  2. Describe the most common survey deficiencies.
  3. Understand the value of internal surveys and environment of care rounds.
  4. Identity strategies for engaging the entire organization to stay survey-ready

This workshop is designed to meet the continuing education requirements for the MN Board of Nursing, BELTS, SHRM, and Board of Pharmacy. It is the responsibility of the attendee to determine whether these activities meet the current criteria for continuing education.
